In the beginning of the year I decided to ditch all my skin care products and try nature cleansing instead.
No, I don’t mean using super expensive organic products, but using natural substances (like food) to cleanse and moisturize my skin.
My skin wasn’t super terrible. I didn’t have severe acne or anything like that, but I did have blackheads, whiteheads, and when I occasionally had a pimple it was big, swollen, painful and took forever to heal.
I wanted better. After reading about it I decided to give the natural approach a try: and I found some amazing results. My skin is not perfect, but it is much cleaner, clearer, softer and more even toned.
On this blog I was hoping to share some of my ‘secrets’.
One of my main ‘tools’ is apple cider vinegar.
Apple cider vinegar has so many uses that no wonder it is great for the skin as well.
- It balances the skin’s acidity.
- It has antibacterial properties.
- It absorbs access oil.
- As result it cleans the skin and prevents breakouts.
- It is a wonderful cleanser and toner.
I mixed apple cider vinegar with water at a 50-50 ratio and put it in a bottle. I use it just like I would use any commercial cleanser or toner with the use of a cotton ball or a wash cloth. I do this every evening and sometimes during the day. Usually I don’t wash it off with water, but you can certainly do that.
It is literally the best cleanser and toner I have ever used. You won’t find me going back to commercial products that is for sure.
Skeptical? Give it a try! Apple cider vinegar rocks and is a crucial part of my beauty routine now.
